Se realiza un estudio epidemiológico de los casos de Taenia sagiriata y de Cisticercus bovis que ocurrieron durante los años 1981 y 1988 en la provincia de Ciego de Ávila (Cuba). Se notifican en los 8 años 300 casos de Taenia, encuestándose 225 enfermos. Decrece la notificacibn de Teniosis en el período 1985 a 1988 en relación al de 1981-1984. Los estudiantes y las amas de casa fueron las ocupaciones que más casos presentaron.
La notificación de Cisticercus bovis aumentó entre 1981 y 1986, reducibndose a partir de 1987.
An epidemiologic study was developed in cases of Taenia saginata and the Cisticercus bovis that occurea during the years 1981 to 1988 in Ciego de Ávila, Cuba In a period of eight years were nosed three hundred (300) cases of Taenia and two hundred twenty five patients were investigated. The n ~ ~ c a t i oofn t eniasis decreased in the period between 1985 and 1988 in relation to 1981-1988, present in students and housewifes.
The infonnation of Cisticercus bovis increased betwenn 1981 and 1986 and decreased in 1987.
