  • Resumen
    • In 1931 architects Luis Moya and Joaquin Vaquero travelled to Rio de Janeiro to attend the outcome of the Internacional Constest for Colon's Lighthouse. The jury's decision qualified their project in third position. They were not pleased with the decision since they considered that the projects of prizewinners for first and second position violated the contest rules. This situation led to a curious discussion of the young architects with one of the members of the jury, the famous American architect Frank Lloyd Wright. However, the stay for almost a month in the Brazilian capital allowed to paint some tropical landscapes.
