Resumen de Estado de la producción científica en Archivística y archivos en América Latina 2000-2009. Una aproximación

  La investigación archivística está tomando fuerza en la región gracias a los nuevos contextos de las sociedades latinoamericanas, que buscan convertirse en sociedades de la información y del conocimiento. Por ello, El Grupo de Investigación en Información, Conocimieinto y Sociedad, de la Escuela Interamericana de Bibliotecología de la Universidad de Antioquia, ha configurado la línea Archivos, Memoria y Sociedad, cuyo objetivo es estudiar los archivos y sus posibles relacliones con la sociedad, como una forma de abrir espacios e investigaciones conjuntas. Este artículo presenta los resultados de la segunda etapa del proyecto Estado del arte en Archivística y archivos: América Latina 2000-2009, la cual comprendió la búsqueda, selección y sistematización de la producción científica en Archivística y archivos en el periodo 2000-2009. En ella se jidentificaron las tendencias investigativas y las fortalezas y debilidades regionales en América Latina. En primer lugar se presentan algunas ideas generales sobre la producción regional, como también las temáticas de mayor interés y las metodologías y técnicas más utilizadas, los medios de divulgación preferidos y los autores regionales más productivos. Por último, unas breves conclusiones sobre la investigación archivística en América Latina, que, aunque en aumento, es aún insuficiente.

  Archivistic research is taking momentum in the region due to the new contexts in Latin American societies thriving to become information and knowledge societies. Accordingly the "information, knowledge and society research group" in the Universidad de Antioquia Escuela Interamericana de Bibliotecología has configurated the "Archives, Memory and Society" line to study archives and their possible relationships with society as means opening discussion and debate spaces lending to common interdisciplinary and research routes. This article present the results of the second stage of the "State of art in Archivistics and archives: Latin America 2000- 2009", comprising the search, selection and systematizatioin of the Archivistics and archives scientific output in that period. The research tendencies and the Latin American strengths and weaknesses were identified and also the thematic, mayor interest themes, methodologies, more frenquently used techniques, preferred spreading media and more productive regional authors. Finally the article offers some brief conclusions about the raising but still insufficient archivistic research in Latin America.
