    El presente artículo, enmarcado en la investigación "La politicidad de Don Carnal. Lecturas políticas de lo festivo y lo carnavalero en América latina", pretende articular de manera crítica perspectivas económicas y culturales para abordar la pregunta: ¿qué categorías, enfoques y autores presentes en la discusión sobre la formación estructural y los problemas de desarrollo en América Latina son relevantes para abordar la temática de la fiesta popular y el carnaval, en tanto patrimonio inmaterial? Esta pregunta no limita, sin embargo, el uso de autores, enfoques y categorías provenientes de la literatura culturalista, los que serán sacados a colación junto a trabajos e informaciones relevantes provenientes del mundo de las ONGs y la Cooperación Internacional.

    Forming part of the research "The Politicity of Don Carnal: Political Readings of Festivals and Carnivals in Latin America", this article forwards, through a critical perspective, cultural and economic approaches in order to answer the question: in the debate on the structural formation and problems of development in Latin America, what catergories, approaches and authors are relevent to addressing the topic of festivals and carnivals as an intangible heritage? This question does not preclude, however, to the use of authors, approaches and categories from the culturalist literature, which will be drawn upon along with relevant works from the world of NGOs and International Cooperation.
