Resumen de Inmigración y literatura, o el paraíso, los otros y sus representaciones

César Verduga

  • Migration processes have always left marks in peoples, traditions and cultures, with the consequent manifestations in oral and written literatures. Heroes, for instance, can be defined as emigrants who are forced to solve a series of difficulties to reach their final goal. This article uses a comparative literary approach to analyze the function of the search for a paradise-where scarcity and limitations would not exist-and the encounter with "the other" as key elements on literature about migration processes. These two elements can be located at the base of literature and migration both in the past and in the present
