  • Resumen
    • The optical properties of the Zn[subínidec 1-x]Mg[subíndice x]O thin films deposited on a glass substrate by spray pyrolysis (SP) technique at a substrate temperature 400°C with different Mg-content (x= 0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4) have been investigated. These properties were characterized by the room temperature transmittance and absorption spectroscopy were measured in the range from (300 nm to 900 nm). For all the films, the average transmittance in the visible wavelength region (λ = 400-800 nm) is greater than 70%. The maximum value of the transmittance is greater than 85% was obtained for these films. As can be seen clearly, E[subíndice g] values of Zn[subínidec 1-x]Mg[subíndice x]O thin films are 3.26, 3.37, 3.4, 3.45, 3.5, corresponding to the Mg-concentrations x= 0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4 respectively. In other word the, the optlcal band gap of Zn[subínidec 1-x]Mg[subíndice x]O thin films become wider as Mg-content increases and can be precisely controlled between 3.26 and 3.5 eV. The results are reported and discussed.
