    La sofocación por bolsa de plástico es un método suicida poco frecuente en nuestro entorno.

    Establecer la etiología medicolegal y aclarar el mecanismo de muerte en la sofocación por bolsa de plástico requiere un minucioso estudio del lugar y una estrecha colaboración entre los distintos profesionales que participan en la investigación. Se presenta un caso cuyas características hacían pensar en un primer momento en una muerte homicida, si bien el análisis integral de los hallazgos del lugar, del cuerpo, de los testimonios y de las distintas evidencias, hizo que finalmente se estableciera como etiología más probable la suicida.

    The plastic bag suffocation suicide method is rare in our environment. Establish the etiology and medicolegal clarify the mechanism of death in the plastic bag suffocation requires careful study of the site and close collaboration between different professionals involved in the investigation. We report a case whose features were thought at first a homicidal death, although a comprehensive analysis of the findings of the place, the body of testimony and other evidence, was finally established as the most likely etiology suicide.
