¿Es demostrable alguna relación entre lengua y visión del mundo? Si se considera al individuo como ser al margen de su entorno, la visión del mundo es una facultad meramente individual, y la lengua no desempeñaría así ningún papel. En cambio, si el individuo no es concebible sino como fruto de su entorno, el sustento básico de tal visión sería la lengua.
Is there a demonstrable relationship between language and world view? If we think of the individual as a being who is separate from his environment, his world view is merely a personal trait in which language would play no role. On the other hand, if the individual can only be understood as the product of his environment, then language would become the underlying basis of his world view.
