En este trabajo hemos caracterizado el bioclima del área madrileña a partir de los datos diarios del observatorio del aeropuerto de Barajas. Hemos obtenido la temperatura fisiológica (PET), máxima y mínima diaria, durante el periodo 1985-2004 y los diferentes umbrales de confort, siguiendo la metodología propuesta por la comisión 6 de la ISB. Se observa que, a partir de 2000, han aumentado los días extremadamente cálidos y se han adelantado estas situaciones a los meses de mayo y junio, descendiendo significativamente en Septiembre.

In this paper we have characterized the bioclimate of Madrid on the basis of daily data from the observatory at Barajas Airport. We obtained the daily maximum and minimum physiological temperature (PET) during the period from 1985 to 2004. We also obtained the different comfort thresholds by following the methodology proposed by Committee 6 of the ISB. There was an increase in the number of extremely hot days from 2000 onwards and a prolongation of these conditions that includes the months of May and June, as well as a significant decline in September
