La pesadumbre y vaciedad que se encuentra en las Universidades y demás Instituciones Pedagógicas, no se debe a su mala organización, ni a la incapacidad de los que han ocupado sus cátedras, ministerio u otros organismos, ni tampoco se trata de defectos accidentales del Aparato, que con los oportunos planes y medidas puedan remediarse, sino que pertenecen a la esencia misma de las Instituciones y les son inherentes.
Es inherente a la Universidad y demás Instituciones Pedagógicas el amortiguar la curiosidad y pasión de entender en los estudiantes, el desviarlos hacia fines impuestos desde Arriba, el convertir sus actividades en trabajo, el someterlas a la examinación perpetua, el vaciarlas de sentido en sí al someterlas a un destino, Título o Colocación, y en una palabra, el aburri al personal.
La Universidad y demás Institutos de Enseñanza o Investigación están ligados al Estado y éste no tiene interés en que se descubra nada. Por tanto, cualquier renovación o descubrimiento tendrá que hacerse desde Abajo, aprovechando los fallos del Sistema y sus holguras.

The air of depression and vacuousness to be found in our Universities and other Educational Establishments is not due to faulty organization or to the incompetence of those who have occupied chairs in them, or to that of the ministry or other bodies; nor is it due to incidental defects of the Apparatus, which can be remedied by appropriate plans and measures, but it is, rather, an inherent part of the very essence of these Establishments.
Inherent to the University and other Educational Establishments is the dulling of students' curiosity and passion for understanding, diverting them towards goals imposed from Above, converting each activity into grind and submitting it to perpetual examination, emptying these activities of al intrinsic meaning by subordinating them to a Position, Placement or Qualification; in short, boring the hell out of people.
The University and other Institutes of Education Research are closely linked to the State, which has no interest whatsoever in anything being discovered. Any renovation or discovery will therefore have to come from Below, taking advantage of the faults and loopholes in the System.
