    El prolífico novelista y cuentista argentino-canadiense Pablo Urbanyi ha logrado crear en los últimos cuarenta años una obra narrativa coherente de alta calidad. En cada una de sus novelas experimenta con diferentes técnicas narrativas, en un acto que no sólo pretende crear buena literatura sino mantener activo al lector. En las cuatro novelas que se estudian en el presente artículo, que pertenecen a la última etapa de creación de este novelista, Urbanyi trata algunos de los grandes temas de nuestro tiempo, como son la inmigración y la adaptación al país anfitrión, la responsabilidad de los científicos y los profesionales médicos, así como la ética a nivel personal y en los negocios. Pablo Urbanyi cuestiona muchas de las verdades aceptadas y desmitifica muchas de ellas. Al final se verá que el mundo ficcional de Urbanyi está poblado de seres amargados, insatisfechos y desesperados que buscan una salida que muchas veces no encuentran.

    Prolific Argentinian-Canadian novelist and short-story teller Pablo Urbanyi has created in the last 40 years a high quality and coherent narrative work. In each of his novels he experiments with different narrative techniques, in an attempt of not only creating good literature but also maintaining his reader active. In the four novels studied in the present article, which belong to the last creative stage of this writer, Urbanyi deals with some of the great themes of our time, such as immigration and adaptation to one's host country, scientist's and doctor's responsibility, as well as business and personal ethics. Pablo Urbanyi questions many of the currently accepted truths and demystifies many of them. In the end, it will be shown that Pablo Urbanyi's fictional world is populated by embittered characters who are unsatisfied, desperate and searching for an exit they often do not find.
