El concepto de "momento axial" o "momento inicial", que Paul Ricoeur propone en "Tiempo y Narración III", representa el marco teórico de este análisis de "Pedro Páramo" de Juan Rulfo. Se propone la escena del juego con el papalote como el punto axial alrededor del cual gira la trama de esta novela. También se muestran otros dos momentos que se relacionan con el primero y a través de ellos se establece una red de relaciones afectivas, pragmáticas y económicas que constituyen la estructura de esta obra.

The concept of "axial moment" or "initial moment", which Paul Ricoeur proposes in "Time and Narration III", represents the theoretical framework of this essay on "Pedro Páramo" by Juan Rulfo. The scene with the kite is proposed as the axial point around which the plot of this novel turns. Two other moments stem from the initial one and they establish a network of affective, pragmatic and economic relations that constitute the structure of "Pedro Páramo".
