El vaso que presentamos, exhibido en el Museo Arqueológico de Sevilla y hallado sin contexto en Coria del Río (Sevilla), fue sucintamenre tratado por varios arqueólogos, proponiendo orígenes y cronologías dispares, egeas y fenicias desde el siglo XI hasta el siglo VI. Dado el gran interés precolonial de la pieza, hemos buscado sus paralelos en el Egeo, Chipre y Oriente, habiendo llegado a la probable conclusión de que su procedencia se enmarca en el bronce reciente siro-palestino, entre el 1500 y el 1200 a.C.

The amphora-shaped vase presented in this article, exhibited in Sevilla Archeological Museum, was found, without any related reference, in Coria del Río (Sevilla). Several archaeologists have proposed different theories about its origin and age, ranging from the 11th to the 6th. cent. b. C. Given the enormous precolonial interest of it, similar objects have been studied in the Egeo, Chipre and Oriental regions. Our conclusion is that this amphora-shaped vase comes from the Siro-Palestinian Bronce age, between 1500 and 1200 b.C.
