Conflictos jurisdiccionales en las Vicarías de Tudía y Reina durante la Edad Media

    En la Península, generalmente hablando, las diócesis se restituyeron y definieron sus límites con bastante retraso a la conquista del territorio a los musulmanes. En algunas comarcas las órdenes militares ganaron el territorio, instituyeron iglesias y disfrutaron de ciertos derechos eclesiásticos que después llegaron a disputarle los obispos. Lo ocurrido en las encomiendas de Reina y Montemolín es una muestra de lo anterior y, por añadidura, dentro ya del ámbito de la Orden de Santiago los priores del convento leonés de san Marcos trataron de despojar de sus antiguos derechos eclesiásticos a los vicarios de Tudía y Reina. La pugna entre ambas instituciones se extendió hasta el siglo XIX, pero aquí sólo hablaremos de esta situación hasta las décadas centrales del siglo XV.

    On the Peninsula, generally speaking, the diocese was restored and defining its boundaries were rather late to the conquest of territory to the Muslims.
