The article seeks to retrace the narrative production of Guido Morselli (Bologna 1912, Varese 1973), especially focusing on the innovative nature of this style and critically analyzing the strong links established by the author with the mitteleuropean literature. To better comprehend the entity of the «Morselli�s case» it also considers the continuous editorial rejections that the author had received during his life: the nature of those rejections, freed from any kind of biographical analysis, let us concretely comprehend the deep innovative charge that distinguishes Morselli�s work.
