Resumen de Interest representation between social partnership and solidarity

Mirella Baglioni

  • This article examines how unions can represent workers in a labour market that is increasingly divided into insiders and outsiders. The first part of the article focuses on prospects for solidarity in the context of current bargaining structures and considers new forms of regulation that allow for more universal forms of wage protection, including a European minimum wage. The second part of the article discusses the introduction of new negotiation practices that allow - through social partnership - for employee representation and protection at the workplace.
