En este trabajo se revisa el método de cálculo IMECA y los cambios realizados del mismo, como resultado de la publicación en el 2006 del reglamento IMECA para el Distrito Federal. Entre otros resultados se concluye que la técnica vigente para elaborar el reporte IMECA difiere poco con respecto del método propuesto inicialmente.
Por otra parte, las modificaciones efectuadas a este índice, provienen de los cambios realizados en 1999 al Pollution Standard Index (PSI). Actualmente conocido como Air Quality Index (AQI).

In this work one reviews the method of calculation IMECA and the changes realized of the same, as a result of the publication in the 2006 of regulation IMECA for the Federal District. Among others results conclude that the effective technique to elaborate report IMECA defers little with respect to the method proposed initially. On the other hand, the modifications conducted to index, come from the changes realized in 1999 to the Pollution Standard Index (PSI). At the moment known like Air Quality Index (AQI).
