Ausias March's poem 87, probably the most important for understanding his theory of love, is duplicated in G songbook. This codex has a complex structure for joining sections of different backgrounds and codicological time. This is the reason for the repetition of the poem, which appears in G1 and G2 sections, with transmission errors in both cases. From the study of these and its codicological variants, I establish the parentage of each version of the poem with other families of textual tradition. The results are expected regarding the relationship of the G1 section with F songbook, while the G2 section, which features an amalgam of sources, had never been linked with the oldest textual tradition of the poetry of March: the H songbook
