In the last years, it is noticeable the increasing number of photo-graphic projects that work with the idea of �social inclusion. in Brazil. They are workshops and small courses for young inhabi-tants of Brazilian favelas that aim to stimulate one special way of looking to these areas through pictures and through the eyes of the children and the young adults that live there. The projects for visual inclusion aim to socially integrate the favela inhabitants in our society and to change the negative image of these areas and peoples. In this article, I reflect about the work of these groups which currently comprise the Network of Visual Inclusion. Here, I analyze the discursive practices of the groups involved in the movement for the visual inclusion through the first four meetings that took place on the Visual Inclusion Meetings in Rio de Janeiro between 2004 and 2007.

Projetos fotográficos voltados para a �inclusão social. vêm cres-cendo em vários pontos do Brasil, nos últimos anos. São oficinas e cursos que têm como objetivo aguçar o olhar de jovens e crian-ças de baixa renda, através da técnica fotográfica, estimulando representações endógenas em áreas que, até então, eram retratadas massivamente por membros oriundos de classes mais abastadas. Os chamados projetos de �inclusão visual. buscam a inserção social dos moradores de favelas e a transformação da imagem negativa destes espaços. É sobre a atuação desses grupos, que atualmente compõem a Rede de Inclusão Visual, que trata este artigo. Aqui, analiso as práticas discursivas dos grupos envolvidos no chamado Movimento de Inclusão Visual, através dos quatro primeiros Encontros sobre Inclusão Visual que aconteceram no Rio de Janeiro, entre 2004 e 2007.
