Resumen de "Chamanismo" y cosmovisión en la Sierra Norte de Puebla

El presente artículo pretende examinar el fenómeno del chamanismo en la extensa Sierra Norte del Estado de Puebla. A partir de la información etnográfica recogida entre los totonacas de San Pedro Petlacotla, se intenta presentar una síntesis de algunos de los caracteres que tal actividad presenta en dicha zona y, a partir de ellos, trazar un cuadro que analice los rasgos epistémicos que posibilitan tal especialidad. El artículo reflexiona no solo sobre el chamanismo como método y práctica, sino que también explora la cosmovisión en la que se inserta el conjunto de técnicas que tal conocimiento representa. La noción de naturaleza, su forma de conjugarla con la de persona y las relaciones devenidas entre ambos conceptos presentan un especial trato que habilita, desde mi punto de vista, gran parte del sistema tradicional de curación totonaca.

This article analyses the shamanistic phenomenon in the vast North Sierra of Puebla State. Taking the ethnographic information gathered among San Pedro Petlacotla's Totonacs as a starting point, an attempt is made to summarize some of the main features of that activity in the already mentioned area. Taking into account these features, a table will be drawn which will analyze the epistemic features allowing this specialty.
Not only does the article deal with shamanism as a method and practice but also explores the worldview, which these whole techniques represent. The idea of nature, its way of combining it with the person notion and the relations between the two present a special treatment that makes possible, from my point of view, great part of the traditional system of Totonac healing.
