    El objeto de este trabajo es investigar el pensamiento anarquista temprano del siglo XIX en Europa. Por una parte, la literatura atribuye un origen antiguo a este pensamiento, y las palabras �anarquista� y �anarquía� se han empleado con frecuencia en el debate político francés desde la primera mitad de ese siglo. Por otra parte, hasta el periodo de asunción de los principios comunistas anarquistas por la Federación del Jura entre 1872 y 1877, no existía un movimiento anarquista consciente y organizado. ¿Es posible hablar de anarquía y anarquistas antes de ese periodo? Este trabajo trata un caso significativo: el desarrollo intelectual y político de los hermanos Élie y Élisée Reclus en los años que llevaron al acontecimiento que marca su paso del republicanismo al anarquismo: la Comuna de París de 1871.

    The aim of this paper is to investigate the early anarchist thought in the 19th century Europe. On the one hand, the literature attributes to this taught ancient origin, and the words �anarchist� and �anarchy� are often used in the French political debate since the first half of this century. On the other hand, until the period of the assumption of the anarchist communist principles by the Fédération Jurassienne between 1872 and 1877, an organized and self-conscious anarchist movement does not exist. Is it possible to talk about anarchy and anarchist before this term? This paper deals with a significant case: the intellectual and political growth of the brothers Elie and Elisée Reclus in the years which lead to the event that marks their passage from republicanism to anarchism: the Paris Commune of 1871.
