Aquest tcxt ressalta alguns deis aspectos de Jacint Verdaguer, que poden servir de referencia per a la construcció nacional de Catalunya, mitjançant l'análisi de tres textos: el primer, L'Atlàntida, interpretat com "un llibre de teologia del segle XIX que, amb la perspectiva amb qué contempla Verdaguer el descobriment d'América, emergeix una história de la salvació diferent, nova". El segon, el Canigó, i el seu nomenament pel bisbe Torras i Bages "poeta nacional de Catalunya". I un tercer, les Perles del ¿libre de l'Amic i l'Amat, on brolla el misticisme de Verdaguer des de la perspectiva romántica, tot connectant l'esperit lul.lià amb els nous temps, fins al punt de re-crear l'obra lul-liana.

This article highlights some aspects of Verdaguer, which can serve as reference for the national building of Catalonia, through the analysis of three texts: first, l'Atlàntida, interpreted as «a book of theology of the nineteenth century, with the perspective in which Verdaguer contemplates the discovery of America emerges a story of salvation different, new». The second, Canigó, and its appointment by Bishop Torras i Bages as the "national poet of Catalonia". And third, Perles del llibre de l'Amic i l'Amat, where Verdaguer 's mysticism springs from the romantic perspective, while connecting the spirit of Llull with the new times, reaching to the point of re-creating Llull's work.
