  El patrimonio cultural intangible es un elemento del territorio que aún no ha sido suficientemente tratado por la Geografía Social y Cultural. No sólo es un recurso turístico, sino también un factor fundamental de identidad, y sociabilidad. Su gran vulnerabilidad hace necesarias urgentes medidas de protección para preservar la diversidad cultural en un mundo globalizado. Con este fin la UNESCO ha proclamado Patrimonio de la Humanidad varios bienes intangibles. Relacionados con ese patrimonio han surgido nuevos turismos, además del tradicional turismo étnico, como el esotérico y el New Age

  The intangible cultural heritage is an element of the territory that still has not been sufficiently treated by the Social and Cultural Geography. Not only is it a tourist resource, but also a fundamental factor of identity and sociability. Because of its great vulnerability, urgent measures of protection are necessary to preserve cultural diversity in a globalized world. Because of this the UNESCO proclaimed several intangible elements as World Heritage of the Humanity. New forms of tourism have emerged, as a result of the interest in some intangible heritages, apart from the traditional ethnic tourism, like the esoteric and new age tourisms.
