    El autor analiza la relación entre la psicoterapia y el concepto socrático y grecolatino de epimeleia heautou. En opinión del autor la psicoterapia mantiene un vínculo irrenunciable con el término de epimeleia heautou grecolatino, que se define como conocimiento y práctica de sí. Este conocimiento y práctica de sí, en opinión del autor, tiene como fin el modo y manera de afrontar la vida, así como la transformación del sujeto en algo que se debe ser y no se ha sido nunca.

    The author analyzes the relationship between psychotherapy and Socratic and Greco-Roman concept of epimeleia heautou. In the opinion of the author maintains a link indispensable psychotherapy with Greco-Roman heautou epimeleia term, defined as self-knowledge and practice. This self-knowledge and practice with a clear psychotherapeutic value from the perspective of the author, is the mode and manner in order to face life and the transformation of the subject into something that should be and has not ever been.
