    La pregunta por la interacción entre la Historia del Arte y la Estética, que en este artículo buscamos considerar a partir de una importante carta de Walter Benjamin a Florens Christian Rang, ha sido de gran importancia para la investigación estética. Benjamin afirma en dicha carta que su principal preocupación es «la relación de la obra de arte con la vida histórica». El objetivo de este artículo es tomar esta tesis como referencia para, desarrollando su teoría de la historia natural, analizar las principales implicaciones hermenéuticas e histórico-filosóficas de la pregunta por la historicidad.

    The question about the interaction between Art History and Aesthetics, which in this paper is considered from an important letter that Walter Benjamin sent to Florens Christian Rang, has been very important for aesthetic research. In that letter, Benjamin sustains that his main worry is «the relationship between art and historical life». The aim of this paper is to take this thesis as a reference point for analyzing the main hermeneutic and historicalphilosophical implications in the question of historicity, by developing his theory of natural history.
