    El alcance y existencia de la comprensión del material escrito como competencia profesional, es el tema que se tomó para realizar durante el año 2009, una investigación transversal y descriptiva, con una muestra total de 100 alumnas ubicadas en la Licenciatura en Educación Preescolar de un Centro Regional de Educación Normal. La información se recolectó a través de tres fases del proceso de literacidad, basado en el filtro internacional de diversos tratados alusivos al tema, entre ellos, el Proyecto PISA (Programa Internacional de Evaluación de Alumnos).

    El estudio mostró que los futuros profesionales, en una etapa inicial de diagnóstico, presentaron un nivel bajo de eficiencia respecto a la literacidad. Mientras que en una etapa inicial de reconocimiento del proceso, fueron capaces de mejorar sus niveles de comprensión lectora, y con ello, desarrollar una mejor consciencia personal, profesional y colectiva que les permitiera visualizar la importancia que tiene para los seres humanos, el poder desarrollar de manera óptima, una comprensión desde el referente escrito para actuar en búsqueda de una educación integral y la generación de conocimiento que aporte a la trasformación social y productiva de la sociedad.

    The extent and existence of the understanding of the material written as professional competence, is the theme that was taken to carry out during the year 2009, a cross-sectional and descriptive research with a total sample of 100 students in the Bachelor�s degree in preschool education from a Regional Centre of Normal Education. Information was collected through three phases of the process of literacy, based on the international filter of various agreements in the topic, including the PISA project (International Programme of evaluation of students).

    The study showed that future professionals, in an initial stage of diagnosis, presented a low level of efficiency on the literacy. While in an initial stage of the recognition of the process, they were able to improve their levels of comprehension, and with it, develop a better personal, professional and collective consciousness that allowed them to visualize the importance for humans the develop optimally, an understanding from the writing reference to act in pursuit of a comprehensive education and generate knowledge that contributes to the social and productive transformation of society.
