  Se ha redescbierto el holotipo de Epidendrum × doroteae en el herbario EAP y se descarta el neotipo, Honduras, col. 1959 by Paul H. Alulen, mounted 17 October 1975, Fritz Hamer A5, SEL 44075, de L. Sánchez S. & E. Hágsater, y se aboga por conservar doroteae como la ortografía original del epíteto, basado en el Código Internacional de Nomenclatura Botánica (Código de Viena).

  The holotype of Epidendrum × doroteae has been rediscovered in the EAP Herbarium and L. Sánchez S. and E.

  Hágsater�s neotype, Honduras, col. 1959 by Paul H. Allen, mounted 17 October 1975, Fritz Hamer A5, SEL 44075, is superseded, and conservation of the original orthography of the epithet doroteae is advocated, based on the International Code of Botanical Nomenclature (Vienna Code).
