    La generalización del uso de Internet ha propiciado que muchas aplicaciones se centraran en el aspecto de la enseñanza y el aprendizaje a distancia. Desde los primeros sistemas, los CAI (del inglés Computer Aided Instruction), que podríamos comparar con un libro electónico, hasta los actuales SAE (Sistemas Adaptativos de Enseñanza) que se adaptan dinámicamente a las necesidades e intereses del estudiante, ha habido un largo camino en el que se conjugan tanto las teorías pedagógicas de la formación, como los avances de la Inteligencia Artificial asistida por ordenador. En este artículo se realiza un análisis de la evolución de los distintos sistemas, describiendo los fundamentos, la metodología aplicada y los desarrollos según distintos planteamientos..

    Since the Internet use has been generalized there have been great the applications that have centred on aspect of the education and the e-learning. From the first systems, the CAI programs (Computer Aided Instruction), that we might compare with an electronic book, up the current SAE (Adaptive Systems of Education) that adapt dynamically to needs and interests of the student, there has been a long way in which pedagogic theories of the training conjugate so much, as the progress of the Artificial Intelligence assisted by computer. This paper is an overview of different systems, describing the features, the applied methodology and the developments according to different approaches.
