    En este artículo de reflexión se presenta, desde una perspectiva analítica, el resultado de la investigación titulada �Diseño de prototipos flexibles de vivienda social en Bogotá� cuyo argumento de partida fue la falta de flexibilidad de la vivienda social en Bogotá. La investigación permitió establecer que el problema del hábitat para los sectores de bajos ingresos, requiere de respuestas complejas que difieren de tipologías preestablecidas y que es necesario identificar factores de flexibilidad. Por tanto, se llegó a la conclusión que los prototipos urbanos y arquitectónicos a proponer deberían ser componentes de un sistema con una visión compleja, conectados con la nociones de modelo y patrón. Dichos prototipos deberían estar relacionados con un sistema de gestión que permitiera el diseño de viviendas y la construcción de un hábitat con calidad. Como resultado de lo anterior, se implementó una propuesta de un sistema de gestión de información de proyectos de vivienda social (SGIPVIS), con el cual se puede diseñar y gestionar prototipos flexibles, que tienen la capacidad de dar respuestas integrales al problema de la vivienda social y a la necesidad de flexibilidad.

    Since 1991 in Bogotá, the production of social housing in the formal sector has been left in the hands of the market and not interested in the quality of housing. Promoting products finished, unable to seize the processes of adaptation and natural flexibility that any user in your home. Finally, the market is focusing on the densification until the saturation limit. Flexibility is a necessary condition for social housing design and production of Habitat. It is then essential to include elements that lead to the satisfaction of the need for flexibility in the housing, so that respond to the transformations of sound and natural way guaranteeing a good spatial quality. This research called �Design of prototypes flexible of social housing en Bogota� arises from the need to propose a model of management and communication of information in the process of design and planning of architectural and urban projects which could be applied to the area of higher education. It is of vital importance, the implementation of ICT tools in the area of social housing design to make prototypes that identify the behavior of the flexibility in housing and Habitat to be sustainable over time.
