  Se presenta y analiza información disponible en la literatura sobre la enseñanza efectiva de las matemáticas. Esta información es de utilidad para los docentes que utilizan las matemáticas o que imparten la misma, para que fortalezcan su participación como orientadores en el proceso de enseñanza y de aprendizaje en las matemáticas, de manera que se traduzca en un cambio de actitud de los estudiantes hacia está. Los alumnos motivados tendrán un interés particularmente diferente en lograr su aprendizaje cuando se le motiva para manejar las diferentes materias. Se realizó una recolección de información en diferentes fuentes, se organizó y analizó desde el punto de vista de la motivación, discutiendo los puntos de vista de los diversos autores. Se concluye que para lograr la motivación de los estudiantes se requiere conocer sus necesidades y expectativas para luego dirigir las conductas hacia acciones benéficas para los estudiantes y su contexto social.

  Information from the literature on effective teaching of mathematics is presented and analyzed.

  This information is of interest to math instructors and to those who use mathematics in their courses, so the can participate in a more active way as truly guides in the teaching-learning process of mathematics, producing a change of attitude of students towards this subject. Motivated students will have a particular different interest in learning when the instructor motivates them to manage the different subjects. For this study, information from the literature was collected, analyzing the information from the point of view of motivation, discussing the points of view of the different authors. It is concluded that to achieve a reasonable level of motivation in students, it is necessary to know their needs and expectations to then direct their conducts to actions of benefit to the students and to their social environment
