    The Dominican master doesn't talk about Paradise in his works like a place in the future, because his point of view is not eschatological. In fact, for him there's no a way toward a future happiness, but a return to the origin. In Paradisus anime intelligentis, Eckhart defends the superiority of intellectus and God Himself is defined like it, while the esse (being) reports himself almost exclusively to creatures. The man, to realize his deep calling to be unum with God, has to come back to Him.

    O mestre dominicano não fala do Paraíso em suas obras como de um lugar futuro, porque seu ponto de vista não é escatológico. Com efeito, para ele não há um percurso em direção de uma felicidade futura, mas um retorno à origem. No Paradisus anime intelligentis, Eckhart defende a preeminência do intellectus e o próprio Deus é definido como tal, enquanto o esse (ser) se refere quase exclusivamente às criaturas. O homem, para realizar sua vocação profunda de ser unum com Deus, tem que fazer retorno para Ele.
