Eufemismos en el lenguaje políticamente correcto de textos legales sobre educación

    El movimiento políticamente correcto tie - ne una importante vertiente lingüística que impone unos determinados usos a los hablantes, ejerciendo un control sobre las maneras de decir. La Administración y el lenguaje legal se sirven de cuantos recursos lingüísticos están a su alcance para aparecer como emisores progresistas y, sobre todo, para transmitir una determinada visión de la realidad educativa, una visión interesada y manipulada. A esto sirve de forma especial el empleo de usos eufemísticos. En este artículo se analizan las estrategias discursivas empleadas en la generación de sustitutos eufemísticos por el lenguaje políticamente correcto en el ámbito legal educativo español entre los años 1986 y 2006.

    The politically correct movement has an important linguistic aspect which imposes given word uses to speakers, thus exerting control over the ways of speaking. The government and legal and administrative language make use of available linguistic resources in order to show themselves as progressive emitters and, above all, in order to give a determined view of the educative reality, a biased and manipulated view. The use of euphemisms particularly serves this purpose. In this paper I am going to analyze discursive strategies used in the generation of euphemistic substitutes for the politically correct language in the legal educative context in Spain from 1986 to 2006.
