"Zur Denaturalisierung": Wissenschaftlerinnen und Akademikerinnen Spanien

    Este trabajo pretende mostrar el estado en que se encuentran los estudios sobre mujeres académicas y sobre el género y las ciencias en España. El panorama actual sugiere una cultura que transita hacia la desnaturalización del androcentrismo, tanto el de las cifras como el de los estudios culturales; hacia un paisaje más igualitario sujeto, sin embargo, a barreras que se mantienen. La situación de segregación y discriminación tanto vertical como horizontal mantiene a las mujeres académicas y científicas españolas en posiciones de autoridad menor que la que desempeñan y se atribuye a sus colegas hombres. Simultáneamente, los estudios de género en las universidades han obtenido un reconocimiento académico todavía limitado.

    Haré aquí una aproximación por tanto de carácter reflexivo. Las mujeres que se ocupan en España de estos estudios se estudian de alguna forma a sí mismas, rastrean sus propias genealogías a la búsqueda del reconocimiento de aquellas hasta hace muy poco casi siempre ocultas por la historiografía y en general en la bibliografía académica contemporánea. Esta ausencia aparece hoy moderada por activistas académicas con una influyente capacidad intelectual, tanto en la agenda política como en las prácticas académicas y socioprofesionales.

    This contribution intends to show the position achieved by the studies of women in academics, and of gender studies and women scientists in Spain. The analysis of the current situation suggests that a transition is taking place toward the de-naturalisation of androcentricism, both of figures of women in science and in university positions, toward a more equalitarian landscape still shaped, however, by keeping relevant barriers for women.

    Still segregation and discrimination, both vertical and horizontal maintain academic and scientist women in less powerful positions, thus providing them with comparatively less authority than their male peers. Gender studies still lack academic recognition as a knowledge domain in the university syllabuses. Here a reflexive approach is presented. Women professors and researchers are in a way studying themselves, tracing women genealogies in search of recognition for those women still absent, or until very recently hidden, in the historiography and more widely in contemporary academic bibliography. This absence appears mildly soften by women academic activists with growing intellectual influence, both in the political agenda and in socio-academic practices.
