  • Resumen
    • This paper discusses .undergraduates' library instruction at Hezekiah Oluwasanmi Library, Obafemi Awolowo University, lle-Ife, Nigeria. It examines students' perception of library services and library instruction. It also examines the catalogue use pattern among students. The study assesses the rate of success being recorded when library materials are to be retrieved using the library catalogues. It also evaluates the contributions library instruction has on students' academic growth. A random sampling method was adopted to obtain 780 respondents out of 800 copies of questionnaire distributed among thirteen (13) faculties. Questionnaire was the major instrument used in data collection. A response 'rate of 97.5% was achieved. Going by the responses of the students on catalogue searches, it could be inferred that the use of catalogues to search often yields positive results. Some suggestions are made for the co-operation of librarians and faculty staff. It is hoped that the co-operation will enhance students' optimum learning.
