  • Resumen
    • Competent staff in university libraries are essential for the delivery of quality services and research productivity. This study explores the staffing patterns of LIS professionals in the university libraries (ULs). It also investigates the level of satisfaction of library directors with the available professional staff. A questionnaire survey was conducted in 20 public sector ULs of the Punjab province. The findings reveal that most libraries (79%) are understaffed (including unfilled vacancies) and library directors are not satisfied with the number of available staff. All libraries used print advertisements to publicize job vacancies.
