Resumen de Movilización social: una apuesta en el mundo de la vida

A partir de una reflexión sobre las organizaciones de la sociedad civil y sus actuaciones locales y globales, se precisa la estrategia de movilización social con temáticas recurrentes y casos en los que los diferentes componentes de la sociedad civil no sólo llaman la atención de la opinión pública y de sus reproductores, sino que logran incidir ya sea para mantener o transformar situaciones que afectan a la sociedad en términos económicos, políticos y sociales. A lo largo del texto, se plantean casos mediante los cuales se muestra que cuando la sociedad civil se organiza, puede movilizar voluntades y deseos, con efectos concretos. Hay acercamientos para sensibilizar, informar y movilizar hacia la acción. Lo más interesante es cuando la movilización social se torna en participación política, y la sociedad civil incide en las decisiones de política pública.

This article is focused on strategies of social mobilization, clarified by an overview of how civil society organizations and movements participate in the local and global arena. The corresponding objectives and goals are developed and demonstrate how stakeholders manage the attention of public opinion to maintain or to change situations that affect them in the economic, political and social arena. Throughout, cases illustrate how civil society becomes involved, and some of the advantages that are obtained, most importantly the participation of civil society in the political system. There is an overture of awareness, information and mobilizations that lead to action. It is not only about protests, it is also about inclusiveness, which requires that all relevant interest or identities be mobilized and given a voice in the public sphere in order to participate in the process of decision making.
