This article aims to compare two Spanish novels -Nada of Carmen Laforet and Mala gente que camina of Benjamín Prado. Although they belong to different periods, their main theme is the same: the Spanish postwar, one of the most reflected subjects in Spanish literature. The article will begin with a general information of each novel and its narrative style. Then, it will focus on the analysis of various aspects of the subjectivity by comparing the protagonist of Nada -Andrea- with the one of Mala gente que camina -Juan Urbano. This part will be divided into the following points: 1) autobiographical characteristics 2) feminine versus masculine sensibility 3) evolution of the protagonists 4) roles of the protagonists
