  • Resumen
    • This paper describes the development and implementation of a multidisciplinary web-based learning module that was designed to improve students' ability to apply and integrate abstract concepts related to managing and serving people with disabilities. Students in three courses Legal Aspects, Facilities Management, and Human Resource Management worked collaboratively in password-protected electronic asynchronous discussion rooms to analyze and present solutions to problem-based on-line cases. Students' reactions to the simulation's design and effectiveness suggest that the greatest improvements in student learning would come from better integrating the module into each of the courses and from better preparing students to effectively work in virtual teams.
