  • Sandy Kapoor, the recipient of CHRIE's 1999 John Wiley & Sons Award for Innovation in the Classroom discusses her award winning innovative teaching technique: Caring in the Classroom. The fifteen strategies she employs to show students that each of them is a unique human being with a name and face and that she genuinely cares about them are listed. Following, she offers examples from her classroom describing how she implements the strategies.
