    En la zona norte de Madrid, el solar que durante años ocupó la �Ciudad Deportiva del Real Madrid CF�, lo ocupa ahora el conjunto urbano �Cuatro Torres Business Área�. Actualmente están construidas las cuatro torres y en proceso de construcción el edificio destinado a Centro Internacional de Convenciones de la Ciudad de Madrid, que completará el conjunto. Por sus características, este conjunto de construcciones, cambia el perfil morfológico del norte de la ciudad y se erige en una de sus zonas más representativas y emblemáticas. Torre Espacio, edificio promovido por el Grupo Villar Mir, es la torre más al norte. En ella tienen su sede tanto Inmobiliaria Espacio como otras empresas del grupo, entre ellas OHL. En este artículo trataremos de pasar revista a sus características más importantes, aunque haciendo más hincapié en los aspectos de estructura, tanto en cuanto a su proyecto y cálculo, como a su construcción.

    The site in the north of Madrid that for many years was home to Real Madrid�s training complex, is now occupied by the �Cuatro Torres Business Area�. Four tower blocks have already been erected on the site and work is currently underway on the Madrid International Conference Centre, that will complete the complex. This group of buildings will change the skyline of the north of Madrid and are established in one of the city�s most representative and symbolic areas. Torre Espacio, the building promoted by the Villar Mir Group, is the tower furthest to the north. The tower will be the headquarters of Inmobilaria Espacio and other group companies, including OHL. This article outlines the most important characteristics of the building, though placing particular emphasis on structural aspects, both in terms of design and construction.
