Resumen de Una Aclaración Semántico-Formal del Concepto Cristiano de la Fe

Este trabajo es un intento de presentar demostrativamente, en un sistema de lógica modal proposicional las peculiaridades del concepto nuclear de la fe como distintivas de la creencia, entendiendo ambas como propiedades disposicionales dentro de un marco epistemológico comprometido con la metafísica cristiana. Se intenta probar que, a partir de argumentos lógicosemánticos, la creencia y la fe son disposiciones que guardan una relación asimétrica; sin creencia no puede haber fe, pero sí puede existir creencia sin fe. Apoyándose en una defensa del esencialismo aristotélico que se puede inferir de la lectura de la fórmula de Barcan, el autor funda su análisis en la interpretación kripkeana entre modalidad de dicto y modalidad de re, entre creer en la verdad de un contenido proposicional y creer en la proposición acerca de una creencia metafísica.

The aim of the present research work is to present, within a system of propositional modal logic, the particular characteristics of the central idea of faith as distinguishing features from belief, based on the assumption that faith and belief are dispositional properties within an epistemological framework bound to Christian metaphysics. This work tries to demonstrate, through a logical and semantic argumentation, that faith and belief are dispositions that have an asymmetric relationship: without belief there is no faith, though belief may exist without faith. Based on an Aristotelian Essentialism stance, which can be inferred from the Barcan Formula, the author bases his analysis on the Kripkean distinction between De Dicto and De Re Modalities: between believing in the truth of a propositional content and believing in the proposition about a metaphysical belief.
