    En este artículo se lleva a cabo una caracterización en tres pasos de la economía venezolana durante el período del gobierno de H. Chávez. Partiendo de justificar su carácter capitalista, se pretende ilustrar la mezcolanza de aspectos continuistas con el modelo precedente junto a una serie de reformas opuestas al paradigma neoliberal. Asimismo, se ilustran las propuestas de producción antisistémicas que en teoría deberían conducir al denominado Socialismo del siglo XXI, si bien todavía marginales en la dinámica económica general.

    This article conducts a threestep description of the Venezuelan economy during the government of H.

    Chávez. Starting with the justification of its capitalist nature, it intends to illustrate the mixture of continuing aspects of the previous model with a series of reforms opposed to the neoliberal paradigm.

    It also illustrates the antisystemic production proposals, which in theory should lead to the socalled Socialism of the XXIth century, though still marginal in the general economic dynamics.
