This paper examines basic concepts of the state estimation of power systems and defines a method for estimating these using phasor measurements obtained from PMU's (Phase Measurement Units). This in order to develop a computational tool in C + + to use the method above, to estimate the states of a power system, taking advantage of the ease and speed measurements provided by PMU's; and also from estimated states it simulates the system load flows and estimate the system parameters.
