  • This article analyzes the translation of two speeches, given on the same day; the first by George W. Bush, the second by Oussama Ben Laden. In the two target texts, the image constructed of the Other is interiorized and projected by the translator. The translator engages in translating, not only the original text, but his/her emotions evoked by it and which are accordingly fused into the translated text. This article tries to shed light on the materialization of this affective attribute as presented in the two target texts, which will not be presented in the terms of linguistics interferences but in terms of emotional, conceptual, referential, ideological and emotional ones.
