One of the first things about the Maya that strikes the outsider is their wonderful apparel. In Guatemala and in the Mexican States of Chiapas and Yucatan, the mayan women continue to weave using designs and techniques that date back centuries to pre-columbian times, adapting them, to some extent, to the needs of the globalized world.
