Resumen de Cultura e democracia: Génese da institucionalizaçao do doreito a informaçao no Brasil

Renata Ribeiro Rolim

  • Two years ago the right to communication emerged as one of the main issues in the ongoing debates concerning human rights in Brazil. Although the introduction of that expression has itself contributed to mobilize research regarding the organization of social communication, simplifying the discussion by applying the ideas of before and after may jeopardize a more dialectic analysis of the ruptures and continuities that took place in the Brazilian society and the ways to theorize them. In the very genesis of the midiatic environment of this country the present text seeks the contradictions, difficulties and possibilities of a more democratic social communication, aiming to produce knowledge that will help to orient social actions.
