  Resumen En los últimos años ha habido un aumento en el número de parejas que acuden al servicio de ginecología para ser sometidas a técnicas de reproducción asistida. La esterilidad es la incapacidad de concebir un hijo tras un año de relaciones sexuales sin utilizar métodos anticonceptivos. Factores como el estrés laboral, la calidad de vida, estabilidad en la pareja, etc. hace que la pareja decida tener un hijo cada vez más tarde, y por ello deben recurrir a las técnicas de reproducción asistida. A través del siguiente relato biográfico, queremos dar a conocer la experiencia de una mujer que fue sometida a una de las técnicas de reproducción asistida como es la inseminación artificial de cónyuge sin obtener éxito. Nuestra informante nos relata en primera persona las vivencias antes, durante y tras la inseminación artificial y cómo ésta influyó en su vida, relaciones de pareja, familiares y los diferentes estados de ánimo por los que pasó.

  Abstract (To be a mother, this it is going to be my goal) In the last years there has been an increase in the number of pairs who come to the service of gynaecology to be submitted to some type of assisted reproduction, due to some type of sterility or unfertility. The sterility is the disability to conceive a son after a year of sexual relations without using contraceptive methods. Factors as the job stress, the quality of life, stability in the pair, etc, does that the pair decides to have a son increasingly late, and for it they must resort to the technologies of assisted reproduction.

  Across the following biographical statement, we want to announce the experience of a woman that was submitted to one of the technologies of reproduction represented since it is the spouse's artificial insemination without obtaining success. Our informant reports in the first person the experiences before, during and after the artificial insemination and how this one influenced his life, relations of pair, family and the different states of mind for which it happened.
