Resumen
This article examines the lexicon of a specialized field, the Internet, which is characterized by the fact that it is not restricted to a group of experts. Since the terms are coined almost exclusively in English, the main question is: is the terminology of French, the target language; influenced by the original English terms? We collected the compound nouns in our corpus, because compound nouns are particularly numerous in the field. After drawing up the morphosyntactic profile of the collected terms through the study of their compositional structures, including pseudo-confixation, we sketched their semantic profile, with an analysis of their "centricity" and of the semantic relations between their elements. Our conclusion was that the French lexicon of the Internet is morphologically and semantically influenced by the English terms but at the same time the number of borrowings is small.
