    El artículo explora las religiones tradicionales practicadas por los pueblos ewe-mina, ewe-fon, bantú y yoruba del África subsahariana, antes de abordar las formas como estas prácticas religiosas persisten en el �Nuevo Mundo� tras la llegada forzosa de aquellos esclavizados africanos. Con base en la presencia de estas religiones tradicionales africanas en distintos países latinoamericanos y caribeño, se evidencia un conjunto religioso fusionado por historias, mitos, leyendas, danza, música, etc. de ascendencia africana y se hace un llamado a los/ as investigadores/as, que desde América Latina y el Caribe, indagan sobre las religiones tradicionales yoruba, para que franqueen los límites de Nigeria con el fin de abarcar a toda la diáspora yoruba

    The article explores the traditional religions practiced by the Ewe-Mina, Ewe-Fon, Bantu and Yoruba people of sub-Saharan Africa, before approaching the way these religious practices persist in the �New World� after the unavoidable arrival of those enslaved African. On the basis of the presence of these African traditional religions in different Latin American and Caribbean countries, it demonstrates a religious set, fused by African ancestry histories, myths, legend, dance, music, etc. and calls on researchers who, from Latin America and the Caribbean, have been developing projects in the field of the Yoruba traditional religions, to go beyond the limits of Nigeria with the purpose of including the entire Yoruba Diaspora.
