Resumen de Crítica y redefinición de la categoría de progreso: Hacia una "forma-vida-orgánica"

En este ensayo rastreo, en primer lugar, los orígenes de la idea de progreso en la cultura occidental cristiana, su desarrollo a partir del siglo XVII y su crisis en la modernidad tardía. En segundo lugar, muestro que la idea de progreso que invadió las ciencias humanas en la modernidad legitimó una mirada colonial sobre el hoy llamado Tercer Mundo. En este sentido, el progreso llegó a ser un dogma constitutivo de lo que Enrique Dussel llama �el mito de la modernidad�.
La Ilustración europea es prueba fehaciente de ello. En tercer lugar, intentaré una redefinición de la categoría de progreso a través de lo que llamo una �forma-vidaorgánica�, más precisamente, mostraré los contenidos que debe tener esta categoría en el mundo globalizado, complejo y multicultural.

In this essay, at first I search the origins of the idea of progress on the Christianwestern culture, its development whence the XVII century and its crisis in the late modern age. At second, I show that the idea of progress that invaded the human sciences in the modern age legitimized a colonial sight about the already called �third world�. In this sense, the progress got to be a constitutive dogma of what Enrique Dussel calls �the myth of modernity�. The European illustration is a factible proof of it. Finally, I will try a redefinition of the category of progress through out what I called �organic-life-form�, more precisely, I will show the contents that this category must have into the globalize, complex and multicultural world.
